Role: Subsidence Claims Handler

Hours: 35 Hours pw, Monday to Friday

Location: Anywhere in the UK, working from home with occasional office visits

Term: Permanent


Sedgwick Resource Solutions is seeking experienced subsidence claims handlers.


Joining our award‑winning subsidence department — recognised for its scale, technical expertise, and innovative approach — you will manage a varied and meaningful caseload, supporting homeowners and businesses through the complexities of subsidence‑related insurance claims.


This is a home‑based role, with occasional office visits required throughout the year.


Your New Role


In this position, you will:


* Manage your own portfolio of domestic and commercial subsidence claims from first notification through to settlement, working within agreed service levels.
* Use your delegated authority to make clear, informed decisions on the progress and outcome of each claim.
* Coordinate investigations, communicate with key stakeholders, and ensure all aspects of the claim progress smoothly.
* Apply your technical knowledge and problem‑solving skills to guide claims towards fair, well‑supported outcomes.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, offering straightforward guidance throughout the process.
* Review surveyor and audit reports to validate findings and shape the claim strategy.
* Oversee third‑party suppliers, ensuring their work contributes to accurate diagnosis and efficient resolution.
* Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records within our claims management system.


About You


We’re looking for someone who:


* Is committed to developing their knowledge of subsidence as a specialist field.
* Has solid end‑to‑end claims handling experience in subsidence.
* Effective negotiator, confident in coordinating appointments and communicating outcomes when settlement decisions are challenged.
* Brings strong organisational skills, resilience, and a customer‑focused approach.
* Someone who thrive on resolving complex issues and providing clear, effective solution.
* Performs well under pressure and adapts confidently when priorities shift.

* Has empathy, and the ability to recognise what is most important to the customer and put this first by genuinely seeing things through their eyes.
