Overview
As a Trainee Nursing Assistant at HC-One, you will be a role model as you lead by example to embody the quality of supreme kindness in every aspect of your work in our Memory Care, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will help ensure residents’ care planning arrangements are delivered impeccably and support a sense of choice and independence for residents, while keeping wellbeing at the forefront. We have created a Trainee Nursing Assistant role with an outstanding development program that upskills Senior Care Assistants to undertake more responsibility and develop the skills needed to be a Nursing Assistant. This role will assist in tasks such as administering medicines, care of wounds, catheter care and other direct clinical tasks, under the supervision and guidance of the qualified nurse.
Responsibilities
* Support and uphold resident wellbeing and ensure care planning is delivered with quality and compassion.
* Take on nursing tasks delegated by a qualified nurse and contribute to safe, person-led care.
* Assist with administering medicines, wound care, catheter care and other direct clinical tasks under supervision.
* Report accidents or concerns and respond to residents demonstrating symptoms of dementia with a person-centred approach.
* Develop by engaging with the outstanding development program to upskill and take on more responsibilities over time.
Qualifications
1. Level 3 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care (or working towards).
2. Minimum 2 years' experience in Health & Social Care where you have been a Senior Carer or in a similar leadership role, especially around administering medicines and leading a shift.
3. Knowledge and understanding of the person-led care planning process and the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
4. Safeguarding awareness and ability to recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect; complete safeguarding training and escalate concerns as required.
Salary and Location
£14.30 to £14.65 per hour. All Locations: Wigan. Location details include Carrington Court and related departments as applicable.
