Sales Development Representative (SDR) About the Role We’re looking for a motivated and commercially minded Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales team. This role sits at the very front of our revenue engine — qualifying inbound enquiries, developing opportunities within our customer base, and ensuring deals move smoothly through our internal systems. If you’re confident on the phone, naturally curious, highly organised, and enjoy uncovering opportunities, this is a fantastic role with strong development potential. Important: This is not a marketing, social media, or general customer service role. It is a structured, commercially focused sales development position. What You’ll Be Doing Sales Development & Lead Qualification Respond to inbound enquiries and contact existing customers Qualify opportunities using the BANT framework Identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities Support structured outbound campaigns (no cold calling) Generate new opportunities within the existing customer base Create and update deals in HubSpot and book sales meetings Assess and re-route unsuitable or low‑quality enquiries Sales Operations & Administration Support defect quote processing and update Uptick quotes Process deposit payment requests Manage handovers of “won deals” to delivery teams Produce customised quotations for tenders and multi‑stakeholder bids CRM & Data Quality Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date CRM records Correct contact details, remove duplicates, and improve data quality Ensure every enquiry is logged and categorised correctly Reporting & Communication Produce daily end‑of‑day (EOD) reports for senior leadership Chase sales team members for missing information where required Light Customer Support Tasks Handle specific automated incident-related tickets Upload incident reports and send appointment reminders What Great Performance Looks Like Fast and effective lead response High volume of qualified opportunities Strong conversion from enquiry → qualified deal Accurate CRM data and clean pipelines High‑quality, fully‑prepared opportunities for field sales Smooth, timely deal handovers What We’re Looking For Skills & Competencies Confident, professional telephone manner Strong questioning and listening skills Curious, investigative, and commercially aware High attention to detail and excellent written communication Organised; able to manage multiple workflows Resilient, target‑driven, and team‑focused Experience Essential Internal sales, SDR, sales support, or similar customer‑facing commercial role Experience working with a CRM (HubSpot preferred but not essential) Experience qualifying inbound enquiries Desirable Experience in Fire & Security, Building Services, Engineering, or Technical Sales HubSpot or Uptick experience Background supporting B2B sales teams Who You Are Curious and analytical Process‑driven and reliable Motivated by achieving targets Collaborative and keen to develop technical understanding over time Training & Career Development Full product, systems, and sales qualification framework training will be provided.
