About the Role
We are seeking a Research Data Co-ordinator within the Women’s and Children’s Division Research Unit, which supports and delivers high-quality clinical research studies across the division. Our portfolio includes a substantial number of children’s studies and an increasing number of women’s health studies. The unit comprises a Research Delivery Clinical Team and a Research Delivery Support Team, covering all clinical specialties within the division.
The post is based at the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston Education and Research Centre. The post holder will work as part of the data team under the supervision of the Research Sisters, providing data management services. They will collaborate closely with the trial coordinator and research nurses. The focus will be on data management for trials in Paediatric Oncology, Haematology, and Bone Marrow Transplant, involving Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and partner hospitals across the South West Shared Care Network. Flexibility to work across all paediatric specialties is expected to meet the needs of the Women’s and Children’s Research Unit.
Main Duties
The post holder will be part of a team of data coordinators, responsible for collating patient data from multiple sources and entering it into required databases.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
* Educated to A level standard
* GCSE passes in English, Maths, Science, and three other subjects at grade C or above
* Relevant qualification in management or administration
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience in research data management, including data entry, database setup, and report generation
* Experience within NHS or research administration
* Understanding of medical terminology
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, and spreadsheets
* Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
* Knowledge of research governance and clinical trial regulations
Skills and Abilities
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
* Excellent organizational skills and workload prioritization
