Job purpose
The Treasury Planning & Analysis Manager is responsible for the support and facilitate the Treasury Planning & Analysis activities for Vaultex specifically by:
1. Forecasting future Note Circulation Scheme (NCS) and Headroom positions and the reporting of actual performance
2. Forecasting of monthly funding costs and the reporting of actual performance.
3. Follow through on all S&OP issues and actions arising
4. Identify and analyse trends within scope of the role whilst looking for innovative solutions or cost & efficiency improvements
5. Compilation of Operational Note Production Plan for submission to Industry
6. Compilation of other monthly submissions to the Bank of England and Shareholder Banks
7. Production of other key Treasury routine reporting
8. Provide cover for the Treasury Manager
Main responsibilities
9. Accurately forecast the NCS position of Vaultex and each FI responding to business and volume changes according to agreed timelines
10. Coordinate the Weekly SOP forum ensuring all relevant challenges are appropriately covered and actions are captured and followed through
11. Accurately forecast funding costs and its underlying key drivers according to agreed timelines
12. Accurately report monthly performance on funding costs and NCS for Exco and our shareholder banks
13. Develop and maintain the headroom forecasting model and methodologies which meet the needs of the business
14. Develop and maintain the funding cost model and methodologies which meet the needs of the business
15. Work with other areas of the business to analyse and explain variances in reported information and assess the impact on current or future forecasts
16. Identify and follow through on areas of improvement or efficiency
17. Responsibility for the maintenance, development and user support for all key Treasury bespoke spreadsheets, databases and automated processes
Knowledge, skills and experience required
18. Advanced user of Microsoft Excel essential, with the ability to build and interpret macro coding together with knowledge of advanced formulas and lookup functionality.
19. PowerPoint & Word desirable
20. Analytical with the ability to identify and link connected data sets, develop trends and relationships and improve forecasting and reporting accuracy
21. Methodical and tenacious
22. Track record of delivering to tight deadlines
23. Cash processing business, banking or Supply Chain experience an advantage
24. Good understanding of Vaultex business and operations
