About Our Opportunity:

Are you currently working in wind, solar, or other renewables technologies, and ready for a new challenge? You may have been involved in the planning, construction, or service and maintenance of such assets; now you could be at the forefront of a new industry, where the resources and materials from renewables infrastructure are recovered and returned to the supply chain. EMR is driving a circular economy by offering sustainable decommissioning solutions for end-of-life renewable energy assets, including wind turbines, solar panels, and related infrastructure. We are delivering projects with some of the world’s biggest renewables developers and operators. We are looking for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and grow with us. This is a varied role at our Wind Turbine Processing Centre in Glasgow, where you’ll be involved in everything from receiving components to helping shape how we scale and shape our customer offering across the UK and beyond.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will have a variety of responsibilities, and these include:

Supporting day-to-day operations at our purpose-built Wind Turbine Processing Centre in Glasgow, including stock takes, parts recovery and storage

Take responsibility for and further develop our parts resale activities at Wind Turbine Processing Centre. We have converted one of our warehouses to enable the reception, testing and storage of parts and components harvested from decommissioned renewable energy assets.

Operational responsibility and involvement in Profit & Loss activities for the Wind Turbine Processing Facility;

Initially undertaking operational activities whilst developing a blueprint for future expansion as our incoming volumes increase across the UK.

Work closely with colleagues across EMR to create best practice and realise sustainable value from parts and components recovered from Renewable Energy assets

Identify companies, organisations and learning institutions with whom we can actively collaborate to deliver industry leading customer orientated services;

Further develop our Wind Turbine Blade Management activities covering reuse, repurposing and recycling including running pilot trials at our Wind Turbine Processing facility

Assist in developing and tracking project plans from early stages through to completions, helping to identify resource needs and monitor project costs.

About You:

Alongside a passion for renewables, ideal candidates will have experience of running, helping to run or being involved with renewables or energy projects, can demonstrate on time on cost project delivery with project planning and reporting capability. Candidates will have strong operational experience and ideally, good practical knowledge of wind turbines. Here are a few things that we're looking for:

Hands-on experience in operations, engineering, renewables, or similar. Comfortable working on-site and getting involved with projects at different levels.

You will have a successful track record within project management in a variety of project situations including successful delivery of large projects / change programmes and multiple projects.

Excellent facilitation & coordination skills, including the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.

IT skills to enable the Creation of Project Plans and Risk Assessments.
