Job Description


Salary: up to £32,000 per annum DOE

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08.00-18.00.

Key Duties of a Sub Contract Planner:

* Plan and allocate set lanes to hauliers.
* Rate jobs on GTS and ensure haulier costs are correct.
* Advertise work on TWS system.
* Arrange live loads for hauliers.
* Complete jobs on GTS to allow for Stobart invoicing.
* Subbed volumes.
* Implement subcontract strategy based on forecasted volumes.
* Manage haulier issues and communicate these to Stobart departments such as CS, central and planning.
* Update hauliers documents to ensure 100% legal compliance.
* Report POD discrepancies and returns that may arise to reduce the company’s liability of losses.
* Take on additional work from 3rd party hauliers to reduce empty running on Stobart Fleet.
* Support Central Team as required.

Qualifications

* Previous experience within a similar role.
* Knowledge of the Logistics and Transport industry.
* Knowledge of GTS is desirable.
* Demonstrable planning and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communicator, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft systems.
* Able to work under pressure and collaborating with a range of departments across the business, from Planning through to Forecasting.
* IT Literate including Microsoft word, excel and outlook.
