Job Description
* Supporting the finance team in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions.
* Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
* Performing routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the finance director.
* Helping with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
* Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes.
* Maintaining financial security by adhering to internal controls, and keeping information confidential.
* Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
* Compliance with all financial regulations.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
* A degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
* Proficient use of finance software.
* Strong skills in mathematics, analytics and problem-solving.
* Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
* High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
* Understanding of data privacy standards and financial regulations.
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial processes and budget preparation.
