🌍 The Opportunity
You'll be involved throughout the construction and commissioning lifecycle, acting as a technical leader and role model - identifying safety improvements, driving engineering efficiency, and ensuring delivery to statutory, regulatory, and company standards.
Most projects are based in the Southern UK, typically:
33kV grid connections
Some 132kV connections
Utility-scale Solar & BESS developments
You'll support multiple projects concurrently, working closely with delivery, design, and contractor teams.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
Provide electrical engineering oversight across Solar, Storage & Private Wire projects
Review and assure electrical designs, schematics, and specifications
Ensure compliance with statutory, Grid Code and regulatory standards
Support main equipment packages and manage interfaces with BoP contractors
Undertake site visits, QA inspections, FATs and SATs
Support commissioning and lead technical handover to operations
Promote safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across projects
Consider risk, lifetime cost, and operational excellence in engineering decisions
