Job Description
We are recruiting for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a busy, well-established hospitality venue in Co. Down.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented chef who is confident managing a fast-paced kitchen, leading a team from the front, and delivering consistently high standards. The successful candidate will be hands-on, organised, creative, and commercially aware, with a genuine passion for quality food and strong kitchen leadership.
The Role:
As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen. You will oversee service, menu delivery, stock control, food safety, team development, and kitchen performance, while maintaining excellent standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all kitchen operations
* Deliver consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
* Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier management
* Manage food costs, wastage, and kitchen labour effectively
* Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety standards
* Train, support, and develop the kitchen team
* Maintain a smooth and efficient service in a busy environment
* Work closely with senior management to strengthen the overall food offering
