We are looking for a talentedStrategic Communications Officerto join our passionate and collaborative Communications team.In this key role, you will help to shape and deliver high-impact communications to engage and influence key audiences in order to support our mission to protect the public and support health and care professionals to deliver safe, high-quality care.
Working with various stakeholders and colleagues across the organisation, you will play a central part in supporting the strategic communications function, from managing our communications planner, through to coordinating communications activities across a number of key projects.This role also involves developing communications plans that bring our work to life for a range of audiences, drawing on audience insight, storytelling techniques and case studies.
Youll be part of a small, close-knit team where your ideas and input will be valued. From crafting compelling content through to supporting events no two days will be the same.
Youll need to have strong organisational skills to keep a track of activity across multiple projects, manage our communications planner, and respond to new commissions all while maintaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders from across the organisation.

Purpose and Main Duties
In this role, you will deliver timely, clear and impactful communication plans and activities through:
* Working closely with colleagues from across the organisation, to deliver pro-active and reactive communications activities across a range of channels.
* Developing core narratives and content for campaigns and key topics, translating complex materials into clear, engaging, and easy to understand messages.
* Coordinating communication planning and activities using our planner and reporting processes.
* Monitoring the communications inbox, responding to queries and commissioning requests.
* Drafting and editing copy for a wide range of channels, adapting style where necessary, to ensure messages land with impact.
* Coordinating and implementing the delivery of communications plans and activities as part of wider projects.
* Planning content and maintaining schedules for our regular newsletters and other communications channels.
Candidate Requirements
Were looking for someone who:
* Hasproven experience in a communications role, ideally within the public or not-for-profit sector.
* Is anexcellent writer and communicator, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages tailored to different audiences and channels.
* Isproactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
* Has provenexperience of using planning tools to coordinate and manage communications activities and campaignssuch as the OASIS model.
* Adopts acollaborative approach, with the ability to build strong working relationships across teams and with external stakeholders.
* Demonstratessound knowledge of social media platforms, email and content management systems.
