About the role
We are currently seeking an Examination Arrangements Assessor to join our Foundation Learning and Additional Learning Support department at The Bedford College Group.
As an Examination Arrangements Assessor, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
* Access Arrangements & Assessment – Conduct JCQ‑compliant access arrangements assessments, including learner interviews, to identify appropriate exam adjustments and support strategies.
* SEND Support & Caseload Management – Manage a caseload of High Needs students, providing tailored support recommendations and working with curriculum teams to promote achievement and inclusion.
* Administration, Records & Compliance – Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records and student data, ensuring documentation meets funding, audit and regulatory requirements.
* Quality Assurance & Best Practice – Support quality assurance processes, share best practice across assessors, and contribute to continuous improvement of access arrangements and support provision.
* Collaboration, Development & Professional Practice – Work collaboratively across ALS and curriculum teams, participate in CPD, support recruitment/events, and uphold safeguarding, EDI and health & safety standards.
About you
* Specialist Qualifications & Assessment Expertise – Hold (or working towards) a SpLD or CPT3A qualification, with strong knowledge of JCQ regulations and current experience conducting high‑quality access arrangement assessments.
* SEND Assessment & Learner Outcomes – Proven ability to assess learner needs, deliver tailored support and contribute to improved retention, achievement and inclusive learning experiences.
* Compliance, Data & Quality Assurance – Skilled in maintaining accurate records, adhering to safeguarding and regulatory requirements, and contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
* Communication, IT & Stakeholder Engagement – Confident communicator with strong Microsoft Office skills, able to engage, influence and work effectively with diverse students, staff and external stakeholders.
* Professional Practice, Flexibility & Safeguarding – Committed to safeguarding, professional boundaries and CPD, with a flexible approach to working across sites and maintaining high professional standards.
