We are looking for an HR Business Partner to work with Thames Water, the UK’s largest water and wastewater company.

In this role, you will be working with the HR Director for Operations, Capital Delivery, Engineering & Asset to support our Operations sites across London and the Thames Valley.
As an experienced HR Business Partner, you will also have the opportunity to work in partnership with senior leaders, key stakeholders, and HR centres of excellence. And you will be required to shape, develop, and deliver HR plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of the business.
A main area of focus will be our multiple water and wastewater sites that are responsible for serving our customers across our regions.
You may also be working with our Strategic Resource Options team which is responsible for the development of several exciting projects to improve drought resilience and minimise interruptions to water supplies in the South-East whilst protecting the environment. These projects may include a new reservoir and transfer projects between different river catchments.
What you’ll be doing as an HR Business Partner for London ‘Waste’ & our SRO Projects
* Deliver HR guidance and direction in the SRO/Transformation areas of the business.
* Effective stakeholder relationship building, creating a HR network for best practice across all delivery partners.
* Actively contribute to increasing and maintaining the high level of employee engagement
* Upskilling and coaching managers on raising the bar on performance and having effective performance, development, and coaching conversations.
* Be the key HR representative on various People projects within Thames Water including organisation design and transformation.
* Manage and facilitate trade union group discussions in stakeholder areas.
* Present people data and HR updates at meetings for stakeholder groups, with a focus on trend analysis and using the data analytics to inform your people plan and business decisions.
* Participate and contribute to the internal HR transformation agenda focused on ‘fixing the basics’ and ‘raising the bar’.
Working Pattern is Monday to Friday, 36 hours a week.
What you should bring to the role
We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our amazing Thames Water team. The role involves hybrid working but will be based in London/Reading, but there is an expectation of regular travel to our various sites.
* You will be an experienced HR Generalist, who has operated as an HR Business Partner, in a complex operational and fast-paced organisation.
* You should be able to demonstrate a track record of proactive HR delivery with a variety of business/client groups.
* You will have strong digital skills (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Office, HRMI) as well as the ability to analyse data.
* Project Management experience, particularly with TUPE/Change Management
* Experience in partnering and influencing senior management teams, along with the ability to understand the business challenges and translate these into a strategic people plan.
* You’ll need to be comfortable ‘rolling up your sleeves’ as well as working individually to get things done with a collaborative outlook to work across the business with other Senior HR Business Partners.
* Although CIPD qualified, or equivalent, would be beneficial, we would also applications from people with proven HR Business Partner background and who is an expert in their field.

* Daily Pay rate: Between £275 and £300 depending on previous experience.
* IR35 determination: Inside IR35.
* Length of assignment: Up to 3 months.

* Base Location can be flexible with an expectation of travel to our Head Office in Reading and across operational sites.
