Coyle Personnel, one of the UK’s leading family-run staffing solutions providers, is currently seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our Facilities Management sector. Role Summary: As a Caretaker, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding porterage and handyman maintenance services, ensuring clients and stakeholders receive genuine, anticipatory service. You will work closely with various teams to meet and exceed expectations through room setups, minor repairs, and general facilities support, all while contributing to a safe, welcoming, and professional environment. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out portering duties including event room setups, furniture resets, post deliveries, and loading bay tasks. * Perform fabric maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, decorating, ceiling tile replacement, and carpet tile laying. * Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works in line with service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). * Liaise with clients to accommodate special needs and last-minute requests in a professional manner. * Work with contractors to ensure all site work conforms to health & safety standards and company procedures. * Assist in maintaining accurate site records including estimates, site measurements, stock control, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation. * Respond to requests generated from the Simpro CAFM system and maintain accurate work order forms. * Support the facilities team to meet contract KPIs, statutory compliance targets, and QHS&E standards. * Lead ad-hoc teams of porters when required and cover absences where necessary. * Present documentation for internal and external compliance audits. Requirements: * Physical capability to lift up to 16–25kg, reach overhead, and stand/walk for extended periods safely. * Experience in care taking, carpentry, painting & decorating, or general labouring (desirable). * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to multi-task, be methodical, and work unsupervised as well as part of a collaborative team. * Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional long hours or overtime. * IOSH safety certification or similar (beneficial but not essential).
