Days: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Contract type: Permanent, Part-Time, 22.2 Hours per week

We are currently looking to recruit a flexible, motivated, Business Support Officer to work in the children's social care North / South locality areas where you will play an important role in the lives of the children in Doncaster.
Duties include:
Core responsibilities and duties will include:
* To be responsible for the operational support for the designated service area ensuring processes are effective and deliver outcomes for the services.
* Provide high quality technical business support in setting up and maintaining systems that allow accurate and detailed record keeping for statutory returns and statistical reporting.
* Take minutes for highly confidential complex strategy meetings that represent an accurate record and are produced in a timely manner in line with service Key Performance Indicators.
* Assist with legal paperwork on behalf of other officers to ensure service specific functions are adhered to within the legislation of the service area.
* Use the Council's IT systems to input data, case notes and records, word process letters, reports, including work of a confidential nature and to interpret and analyse the data and statistical information to inform the performance and outcomes of the service area.
* Undertake financial administration applicable to the service area including ordering and processing of invoices, issuing petty cash, allowances and service specific transactions using the Council's financial system to ensure business continuity.
* Deal with enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders, partners and the public, with care and compassion ensuring that these are dealt with timely and appropriate feedback is given or effectively escalated where required.
* Undertake research, collate findings and summarise information to support the functions and development of the service area.
* Offer a responsive support function that meets the specific needs of the service and directorate including being flexible to support meetings and events as required.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a busy office environment, be well organised, have excellent customer service skills and experience of working to conflicting deadlines. We are looking for a hardworking and conscientious person providing essential and valuable support service.
