An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join a well-established, international manufacturing group based in the Greater Glasgow Area. Reporting to the GBS Financial Controller, this key role will take ownership of operational tax matters across the business and play a pivotal part in shaping tax strategy, governance and compliance frameworks. As Group Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting and overseeing all operational tax activities, including corporation tax, transfer pricing, and tax-related accounting and reporting. The postholder will collaborate closely with global finance teams, external advisors and senior management to ensure tax compliance, accurate reporting and continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities Oversee the business’s operational tax strategy, ensuring effective processes and controls are in place Provide balanced and insightful tax and transfer pricing advice to senior stakeholders Partner with group advisors and finance teams to manage planning, forecasting and tax reporting activities Review and support the preparation of corporation tax returns Lead and enhance the group’s transfer pricing framework and documentation Support year-end processes, liaising with auditors and advisors as required Deliver tax training to finance teams and strengthen the group’s tax control framework Identify and implement system and process improvements to support tax compliance Skills & Experience Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CTA, or equivalent) with 3–5 years post-qualified experience Strong knowledge of UK corporation tax and transfer pricing principles Solid understanding of IFRS and awareness of other GAAPs Experience working in a multinational group environment Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across functions and geographies For more information on the role, please contact Ben Jones at Rutherford Cross.
