What's involved with this role: Interim Business Design Lead - Counter Terrorism Policing Reference no: MPX TCLZ 0008 8BC2 / 1 Pay Rate: Up to £565.96 per day PAYE depending on experience Hours per week: 36 Monday – Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 11 months City: West Brompton, London Hybrid working This role requires SC clearance As a Business Design Lead the successful candidate will leverage new technologies, varied datasets, and specialist operational knowledge to undertake detailed analyses and develop evidence-based solutions to some of CTP’s most complex challenges. They will consult with the CTP Network to identify the right way to tackle problem solving opportunities. Collaborate and build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders from across the public sector, playing a pivotal role in reacting and reshaping the country’s CT approach. Key Responsibilities: Using quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques, drive diagnostic and solution identification activity within a multi-disciplinary project team. Design solutions using appropriate operating model development approaches and methodologies. Identify and manage design dependencies with other inflight/planned change initiatives, and broader strategic objectives. Manage senior stakeholders and translate complex organisational problems and solutions into simple compelling narratives that achieve broad business consensus. It does this through the provision of corporate services, as well as national operational tasking and coordination. It houses a number of unique national CT capabilities that support the entire network, as well as overseeing delivery of CT policing across the regions to ensure that it operates in a way that is both effective and efficient. Crucially CTPHQ represents CT policing’s interest within government and with wider stakeholders, ensuring that the policing contribution to CONTEST is both understood and appreciated. Hold a Project Management Qualification (i.e. PRINCE2) or experience managing projects, or complex workstreams within larger programmes of work, desirable. Skills & Experience: Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation. Ability to conduct detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis to define organisational problems, design appropriate solutions, and determine the impact of both on CTP’s operating model. Able to translate complex organisational problems and solutions into simple compelling narratives that achieve broad business consensus. An ability to identify and apply wider strategic and socio-economic impacts to tactical business problems and issues. An ability to manage senior stakeholders and collaborate across multidisciplinary project teams, and confidently develop relationships even within challenging environments. Experience in developing business operating models and delivering change through formal methodologies and approaches. Experience managing junior staff and supporting others in navigating conflicting requirements and priorities. Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
