Transport Coordinator Permanent Grade B - £28,598 - £34,434 Working 36.5 hours per week About the Role We are looking for a dedicated Transport Co-ordinator / Driver to join our Adult Resources Division within the Specific Needs Service. This role is vital in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of service users to and from day centres and other locations. You will plan and manage transport routes, supervise drivers and escort guides, and contribute to the development of our transport service. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and provide transport services for service users Plan and adjust routes to ensure efficiency and safety Maintain accurate records of routes, passenger details, and budgets Supervise drivers and escort guides, supporting their development and training needs Ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and maintained in line with departmental guidelines Assist service users with mobility and personal needs during transportation Uphold health and safety standards and report any incidents promptly About You Hold a current clean driving licence Minimum 3 years’ driving experience and aged over 25 Experience in a caring environment and coordinating passenger transport services Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to supervise staff and maintain accurate records Commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding practices For any informal enquires please contact: Resourcing&64;birmingham.gov.uk Please upload an up-to-date CV and Personal Statement via the attachments part of your application.
