Workshop Recruitment are looking for an experienced Plumber with a can-do attitude and a flexible approach. You must have relevant qualifications and a broad commercial and domestic experience in your core trade.\n\nIn this role you will carry out a wide variety of domestic and commercial plumbing repairs in occupied student accommodation, buildings and empty rooms. The work will include; fitting of various types of sanitary ware first and second fixing Pipework, various servicing of PPM.
There will also be work on unvented systems.\n\nResponsibilities\n\n• Diagnose and rectify faults within core and other trade related repair requests.\n\n• To ensure that the quality of work meets the highest possible standards at all times.\n\n• Undertake all work efficiently and cost effectively, minimising non-productive time where possible.\n\n• Apply applicable Health & Safety rules in all you do, using risk assessments, method statements and PPE when needed.\n\n• Be willing to work out of hours to the requirement of the client and participate on the call out rota.\n\n• Respond swiftly to all to all emergency situations and resolve them efficiently.\n\nSkills\n\n• Able to use the phone or PDA to communicate effectively, explaining yourself clearly and concisely.\n\n• Be comfortable in dealing with residents and members of the public.\n\n• Be able to self-manage and be self-motivated, prioritizing and programming work in the most efficient manner.\n\nQUALIFICATION REQUIRED\n\n• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing or equivalent\n\nEXPERIENCE REQUIRED\n\n• 2-5 years of working in Building Maintenance and Education environments
