Role
The Customer Solution Specialist (CSS) provides technical support, subject‑matter expertise, and product advice to regional sales teams and customers. The role may specialise in a domain and sits within the Customer Solutions team.
The ideal candidate has proven technical and solution‑design skills gained in a complex, technology‑sales‑based market. They are customer‑facing, able to quickly understand clients’ software environments, identify solutions, and present complex technical concepts with gravitas. They link technology to business benefits, recommending optimal designs while managing expectations to maintain credibility. Excellent cross‑cultural communication skills are essential, including support for non‑English speaking users via in‑person and web‑delivered demonstrations and training across our product suite.
Key responsibilities include becoming proficient in Leapfrog, Central, OpenGround, GeoStudio, PLAXIS, and related solutions; learning how customers use our products or competitors; delivering advisory support; and providing responsive technical assistance that drives business growth. Significant travel is expected to maintain market orientation and support regional sales teams.

Sales/Revenue Generation
* Collaborate with the regional team to identify and progress opportunities within existing and new accounts.
* Gather market intelligence and conduct market development activities such as demos and webinars.
* Champions CRM by maintaining accurate client data to support pipeline management.
Marketing and Business Goals
* Monitor and improve customer satisfaction levels.
* Assist with product upgrades, new releases, and new product launches.
Skills, Knowledge and Competencies
* Experience in Finite Element Analysis, Finite Element Modelling, and Numerical Modelling.
* Industry experience in ground investigation, environmental geology, geotechnical engineering, civil or environmental engineering consultancy.
* Tertiary qualification in geotechnical engineering, geology, hydrogeology, earth sciences, or a closely‑related discipline.
* Operational experience in civil or environmental engineering infrastructure projects is advantageous.
* Experience with GIS, geospatial, 3D modelling, geoscience, numerical modelling, or data management software is advantageous.
* Technical orientation with a passion for becoming an expert user.
* Strong relationship‑building abilities.
* Proven ability to support sales with technical insight, demos, solution architecture, and best practices during pre‑sales.
* Confident oral and written communication in English; experience with other European languages (e.g., Italian, German) is a plus.
