Bennett & Game are pleased to be working with a well-established structural steel specialist who are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Tekla Detailer / Coordinator to join their team based in Billingham. This opportunity has arisen due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the drawing office, taking responsibility for managing Tekla models from initial concept through to fabrication, whilst coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
Senior Structural Tekla Detailer / Coordinator Job Overview
Develop and manage 3D Tekla models from engineering drawings through to fabrication packages
Produce GA drawings and detailed fabrication drawings to a high standard
Coordinate projects with engineers, architects, clients and subcontractors
Attend design team and project meetings, including initial project launch meetings
Raise and manage RFIs / TQs and maintain registers throughout the project lifecycle
Monitor drawing office output and support delivery against technical programmes
Produce and update technical programmes and progress reports
Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery
Coordinate sub-contractors including cladding, metal decking, precast elements and stairs
Import/export models in line with BIM requirements and project execution plans
Assist in developing BIM processes and continuous improvement within the business
Support and mentor junior detailers and apprentices
Attend site visits and surveys where requiredSenior Structural Tekla Detailer / Coordinator Job Requirements
Minimum 20 years' experience within the structural steel detailing industry
Minimum 15 years' experience using Tekla Structures
Strong experience producing GA and fabrication drawings
Proven ability to manage projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders
Experience working to BIM Execution Plans and QA procedures
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + overtime
