Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Systems Accountant / Project Manager for a leading professional services firm in Manchester, which has experienced significant growth over the past decade.
The Systems Accountant will lead system development, ensuring a robust and value-adding system that enhances data accuracy and supports commercial decision-making. You will oversee ongoing projects across all systems and act as a conduit between finance and IT.
The Role
1. Ensure systems operate efficiently and effectively, supporting forecasting and financial reporting.
2. Drive continuous improvement of systems and related reporting.
3. Provide training to maximize system utilization.
4. Develop enhancements to add value continually.
5. Implement a replacement financial system for Dimensions.
6. Record, test, and update processes and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have an accounting background with significant experience in delivering continuous improvement projects across finance and reporting systems, and the ability to lead projects and influence senior leadership teams.
Applicants from a similar systems accountant role within a professional services organization, holding an accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), are preferred, although qualified by experience candidates will also be considered.
