We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager with strong project management experience to join our dynamic team in the large format graphics sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple accounts and projects simultaneously, while maintaining excellent client relationships. A hands-on approach, solid organisational skills, and a “can-do” attitude are essential for success in this fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is an office based role at our head office in Derby but you will need to be willing to travel to client sites, project locations & industry events as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the main point of contact for multiple client accounts, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
* Build and maintain long-term client relationships, identifying opportunities for account growth and upselling additional services.
* Ensure that all client requirements are met and exceeded, including handling changes in client requests with adaptability and efficiency.
* Oversee multiple projects concurrently, coordinating between design, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution.
* Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation, managing each project from concept through to delivery.
* Actively monitor project progress, keeping clients informed and making adjustments as necessary to meet evolving needs.
* Prioritise and manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of work and meeting deadlines.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams, including designers, production, and the installation team, to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
* Provide guidance and support to ensure that teams stay on track and meet the specific needs of each client.
* Foster a collaborative environment where team members work together to solve problems and adapt to changing project demands.
Communication:
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in all client and internal communications.
* Regularly update clients on project status, including milestones, challenges, and solutions.
* Communicate effectively with various departments to ensure smooth handoffs and timely delivery.
Administration & Reporting:
* Maintain accurate and organised records of client interactions, project details, timelines, and budgets.
* Use Excel to track project progress, manage timelines, and analyse key metrics for project performance.
* Provide regular reports to senior management on project status, account health, and potential areas for improvement.
* Be willing and able to travel to client sites, project locations, or industry events as needed.
* Work effectively in a busy office environment, handling multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus and efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
* 3+ years experience in account management and project management within the large format graphics industry or similar sectors (e.g., printing, signage, branding).
* Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and handle several projects simultaneously, ensuring quality delivery on time and within budget.
* Experience working in a busy office environment, managing a fast-paced workload with a proactive and efficient approach.
* Solid understanding of large format printing processes, materials, and techniques is highly desirable.
Skills:
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
* Proficiency in Excel for tracking project data, creating reports, and analysing performance.
* Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and clients simultaneously.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changes in client requests or project scope, remaining flexible and solution-focused.
* A “can-do” attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client management.
* Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
* Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, or project reviews.
* Ability to manage and resolve client concerns with professionalism
* Demonstrates strong initiative and the ability to work independently when required.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining high standards of work.
