Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Sale that is seeking a Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their on-site SEN provision from September 2025.
About the Role:
This is a full-time role for the full academic year, with the potential for extension. You will be working closely with pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural challenges. The role will involve:
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
* Implementing strategies to manage behaviour positively and consistently
* Assisting pupils in achieving individual education plan (IEP) targets
* Providing classroom cover in the teacher’s absence (TA3 level responsibility)
* Collaborating with the SENCO and class teachers to ensure tailored support is delivered effectively
About You:
We are looking for a proactive and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant who:
* Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) PREFERRED
* Has previous experience working with children with a range of SEN and behavioural needs
* Is confident in managing challenging behaviour and supporting emotional regulation
* Can adapt support to meet a variety of learning styles and needs
* Is comfortable and capable of leading the class when required
* Works well as part of a team and has excellent communication skills
