We are seeking a talented web/mobile developer to join our engineering team at Quilter, working on modern wealth management apps. This is an exciting opportunity to help modernize our digital offerings and enhance user experiences for clients and advisers.
* Ensure applications are pixel-perfect and provide excellent user experiences as a Subject Matter Expert.
* Implement responsive Web and Mobile UX solutions using React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Ionic.
* Collaborate with UX designers to translate wireframes into polished implementations.
* Create and maintain component documentation with Storybook.
* Build cross-platform features using the Ionic framework.
* Write clean, maintainable code following team standards and best practices.
* Develop and maintain test coverage.
* Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
* Work within agile teams, contributing to continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with backend teams on API integration.
* Act as a subject matter expert for UI/Mobile development within the Digital teams.
About You
* Experience designing, developing, and maintaining mobile apps for iOS and Android, and Next.js applications.
* Proficiency in React and Next.js.
* Familiarity with hybrid/cross-platform development (Ionic).
* Experience with state management solutions (e.g., Context API).
* Understanding of version control using GitHub.
* Experience with frontend testing (Jest, React Testing Library).
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Experience troubleshooting mobile app deployment issues.
* Knowledge of software architecture, patterns, and engineering best practices.
Other Highly Desirable Skills
* Experience with Azure cloud services and DevOps.
* Awareness of .NET development.
* Experience with CI/CD workflows and YAML deployments.
* Understanding of financial services applications.
* Knowledge of web accessibility standards and compliance.
* Experience with component documentation using Storybook.
