Job Summary
A full time Lead Care PA is sought to oversee the care of a gentleman who has had MND for 19 years.
It is essential that the applicant is reliable, knowledgeable, friendly, caring and possesses a good work ethic.
The Lead Personal Care Assistant is required to work during the afternoons, evenings and weekends for up to 30 hours. Care starts from 12.30pm and each rota's duration will be a minimum 4.0 hours. The Lead Personal Care Assistant will provide wide-ranging personal care for a gentleman with motor neurone disease.
The tasks include: Preparation of food and feeding; personal care; personal handling using hoist; shaving, nail-clipping, massage and range-of-movement exercise. Domestic care is also required with the up-keep of the gardens.
The Lead Personal Care Assistant will share excellent hospital or care home experience and process with the team of other carers.
The Lead Personal Care Assistant will possess excellent IT skills.

The gentleman with motor neurone disease is a former county squash player and highly intelligent. He is educated to degree level and is the director of MicroProducts Systems Ltd. He is a strong chess player has represented Team England on the top boards on He is also very interested in technology.
Rate of pay: £17.60/hour
Times of work: Flexible
Holiday pay will also be provided in this self-employment and accounting invoices and statements are provided.

Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality personal care to residents, respecting their dignity and individual needs
* Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management
* Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
* Supervise and support junior care staff, ensuring adherence to care standards and protocols
* Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and resident progress
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery
* Organise and participate in team meetings and training sessions to promote continuous improvement
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care environment
* Support residents in maintaining their independence whilst providing necessary assistance
Requirements
* Proven experience working within a care home or home care setting
* Strong understanding of care plans and personalised support strategies
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Valid driving licence is preferred for supporting residents' outings or appointments
* Proficiency in IT systems utilised for documentation and communication purposes
* Compassionate nature with outstanding organisational skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
* Flexibility to work full-time hours including shifts that may include weekends or evenings if necessary
