Salary: £38,626 – £49,764 plus £8,000 Market Supplement
Contract: Permanent and Fixed Term (2‑year)
Hours: Full Time (37 hours/week) or Part Time (minimum 28 hours/week)

About the Role
We are recruiting two qualified lawyers to support the council’s housing buyback and development programmes, regeneration schemes and the asset management strategy. You will play a key role in carrying out transactions to maximise the council’s property portfolio income and support high‑profile projects such as the Sea Lanes Outdoor Swimming Pool, Kingsway to the Sea redevelopment, and the acquisition of new‑build apartment blocks for the council’s housing strategy.
Responsibilities
* Support housing buyback and development programmes.
* Assist with regeneration schemes and property portfolio management.
* Carry out transactions to implement the council’s Asset Management Strategy.
* Maximise property portfolio income.
* Participate in projects, including swimming pool and redevelopment initiatives.
Qualifications
* Qualified lawyer in England and Wales (barrister, solicitor or legal executive).
* Relevant commercial / development and residential conveyancing experience.
* Excellent client care, communication skills and a positive attitude.
* Willingness to develop and learn within the role.
* Public sector work experience desirable but not essential.
