About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for automotive enthusiasts to drive a variety of vehicles and travel to different locations around your hub. As a driver, you will accurately record vehicle information using an electronic proof of collection (epoc) and proof of delivery (epod) device. All drivers are responsible for safety and security checks, which must be completed according to internal procedures.
You will work alongside your assigned vehicle inspector, covering surrounding areas, and will need to understand daily plans, optimizing routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
We will provide training to upskill the successful candidate in vehicle inspections, supporting field inspections as needed.
The role is based on a 25-hour contract, Monday to Friday, with additional hours paid at the same rate based on scheduled work.
Main responsibilities
* Collect and deliver vehicles to hubs and destinations
* Input vehicle details accurately following predefined processes
* Complete security and safety checks on all vehicles
* Follow key storage procedures to ensure traceability
Skills and experience required
* Full UK driving license
* Ability to drive cars and LCVs
* Knowledge of vehicle derivatives
* Ability to work under pressure and within a team
* Basic mechanical knowledge (advantageous)
* Computer literacy, including tablets, mobile phones, and platforms like Microsoft Teams
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on customer experience
