We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join a fast-paced and precision-driven machine shop supplying high-performance components to the aerospace and energy sectors. Permanent Position from Day 1 Rate of Pay in the region of £18.20 per hour, rising to circa £19 per hour after probation period. 25% Shift Allowance Added on top of base rate Overtime, paid at X1.5 and X2 Contributory Pension, Regular Salary Reviews & Progression available for the right candidates. The Role As a Machinist, you will: Interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and job cards to determine machining requirements. Set up and operate both manual and CNC machinery to tight tolerances. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure components meet strict quality standards. Carry out routine maintenance checks and keep equipment in optimal working condition. Maintain accurate records of all work completed and follow documentation protocols. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support team targets for quality, output, and safety. This position will initially operate on a 2-shift rotation, with a move to a 3-shift system after training and onboarding are complete. About You We're looking for time-served Machinists with: A minimum of 2-3 years' experience operating and setting up manual and CNC machines. A solid understanding of engineering drawings, process sheets, and dimensional tolerances. Proven skills in the use of measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc. A proactive and self-managed approach to work, with strong attention to detail.
