We’re looking for enthusiastic and caring Support Workers (Health Needs) to join our friendly and supportive Supported Living Services team in Port Tennant, Swansea. In this rewarding role, you’ll be supporting adults with complex needs to live more independently – helping to make every day meaningful. Our service operates 24/7, so flexibility is important. Shift patterns include:
* Day shifts: 7:30 am – 3:00 pm or 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
* Waking nights: 8:00 pm – 8:00 am (enhanced rates apply)
We currently have the following opportunities available:
* 19-hour permanent post
* 18-hour temporary weekend-only post (weekday availability required for training) – ideal for students and those looking for flexible work
* 24-hour temporary post (maternity cover)

In this role, you’ll be supporting four fantastic individuals with learning disabilities, helping them lead active, fulfilling lives. Each person we support has access to their own vehicle to promote independence, so a full UK manual driving licence is essential.
The individuals you’ll support love getting out and about, whether it’s day trips, scenic beach walks, strolls around the local area, or meals out. If you enjoy being active and making a real difference in people’s lives, this could be the perfect role for you!
What is the role?
As a Support Worker, you’ll be involved in all aspects of day-to-day support, including:
* Administering medication
* Preparing meals and supporting with mealtimes
* Laundry and household cleaning
* Accompanying on shopping trips and running errands
* Supporting relationships with friends, family, and the local community
* Taking part in leisure activities, such as swimming, cinema trips, and days out
* Advocating for their needs, preferences, and choices
* Providing personal care, with dignity and respect
* Assisting with manual handling as required
Skills and experience
What skills and experience do you need?
At Pobl we really value your core skills as a person, such as listening skills, empathy, a genuine desire to make a difference and live our values to be Positive, Considerate and Connected, but will be looking for the following:
* Previous care experience working with adults with complex needs
* A full UK manual driving licence
* Due to the specific needs of the individuals we support [and current legal guidance], this role is only open to applicants who are biologically female
* Experience working with people/customers
* Experience working as part of a team
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills
* Basic IT skills

* An hourly rate of £12.75 making the annual salary £24,531 (FTE)
