The Role
The Legal PA will provide high-level, comprehensive support to senior fee earners and partners within a busy legal department. This role is ideal for a confident and organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional administrative and secretarial support.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing full PA and secretarial support to partners and fee earners
* Managing complex and confidential diaries, meetings, and travel arrangements
* Handling high-volume inbox and email management
* Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documentation and correspondence
* Opening and maintaining client files in line with regulatory requirements
* Conducting conflict checks and supporting AML/CDD procedures
* Preparing engagement letters and client care documentation
* Assisting with billing, invoicing, and expense processing
* Coordinating court bundles, hearings, and meeting materials
* Liaising professionally with clients, counsel, and third parties
* Maintaining accurate electronic and paper filing systems
* Supporting departmental projects and administrative initiatives
* Ensuring strict confidentiality and compliance at all times
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience as a Legal PA or Legal Secretary (essential)
* Strong understanding of legal procedures and compliance requirements
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
* Professional, proactive, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a demanding environment
