The Onboarding and Know Your Customer (OBKYC) Enabler Value Stream aims to deliver group-wide onboarding and KYC capabilities. It unites business, operations, and technology teams to co-design solutions that enhance our products and services. The group currently manages approximately 800 FTE and a bank-wide budget of around $120m.
This initiative supports our Future State Architecture (FSA) and Digital Acceleration Programme, standardizing delivery methods across the bank to improve customer experience, infrastructure resilience, and adoption of innovative technologies.

We are seeking a strategic and technically skilled Director of CDD Technology to lead the design, implementation, and modernization of CDD/KYC systems. This vital role in the Onboarding and KYC Technology leadership team ensures our systems support robust KYC, Anti-Money Laundering, and regulatory compliance through scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions.
The CDD Technology modernization journey aims to achieve its Future State Architecture. The role will oversee a team of about 300 global resources with an annual budget of approximately $60m.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Leadership: Drive the modernization of bank-wide KYC & CDD offerings through the delivery of FSA, supporting clients across various segments using strategic KYC technology services.
2. Accountability: Responsible for executing innovative technology solutions and products, ensuring alignment with business outcomes in both Change the Bank and Run the Bank initiatives.
3. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with CIB and iWPB businesses, providing technological support aligned with global strategies, and manage key stakeholder relationships.
4. Strategy: Achieve CDD Technology OKRs, including engineering best practices, service resiliency, estate simplification, talent initiatives, innovation, application decommissioning, and emerging technologies like AI.
5. Budget and Spend: Oversee global technology spend and headcount, ensuring transparency and managing funding across lines of business.

* Hands-on experience with multiple technology domains, especially API technologies and emerging tech like AI.
