. At its site in Middlewich, Cheshire, UK (with immediate central links to the M6), Indaver operates a solvent recycling facility; accepting hazardous and non-hazardous (waste) solvents. Under the brand name Indaver Solvents, Indaver offers high-end solvent recycling solutions and supports its customers with lab analyses, pilot scale trials and commercial scale recycling. Since, when Indaver purchased this site, there's been a healthy amount of investment in the site to improve process and the environment where staff work.
QESH Manager. The key objective for this position is to ensure the Companys legal compliance with regard to Health and Safety/Environment and to provide training, advice and support.
Additionally, this position carries the objective to manage, maintain, develop and continuously improve all aspects of the Indaver Solvents management systems, ensuring that certification to relevant international standards is achieved throughout the group with a recognised national body.
Role and Responsibilities
1. To manage all aspects of the INDAVER SOLVENTS Group QESH management system development, integration and delivery in line with the requirements of the appropriate standards, legislation and Company policy, ensuring continuous improvement and legal compliance.
2. Provide Health, Safety, and Environmental expertise to the group.
3. To work closely and build excellent working relationships with all regulators of the Company including the reporting of data, facilitation of inspections and audits and the resolution of any issues identified.
4. To promote a positive EHS culture by developing the Group's EHS strategies. Devise, deliver and manage the Company's QESH risk management processes ensuring significant risks and opportunities are identified and appropriate actions are taken.
5. To agree and manage the internal audit schedule ensuring all Company auditors complete their audits regularly review completed internal audits and subsequent remedial actions to ensure any deficiencies are identified and appropriate action taken.
6. To produce, communicate and present reports (including the annual management review), on the operation and performance of the management systems to the senior management team / workforce, as appropriate. To monitor, track progress and report on the key objectives and targets set by the Company.
7. To produce and deliver training programmes to personnel at all levels of the Company on the QESH management systems / related subjects.
8. To complete any other tasks which may reasonable be requested.
Qualifications and Experience required
9. Must be eligible to work in the UK (full-time). No visa sponsorship will be offered for this position.
10. Possess extensive experience of management system design and implementation, preferably within a waste or industrial background.
11. Possess extensive experience of Environmental and Health and Safety legislation preferably within a COMAH site, with working knowledge of COSHH and DSEAR.
12. Possess an auditing qualification in a relevant field (ISO, ISO, or ISO ) from a certified body and be, or eligible to be a member of, a relevant professional body.
13. Possess a NEBOSH Diploma or Certificate (or equivalent).
14. Thinks in a logical, process based approach and uses this skill when problem solving. Strong IT, diagnostic and data management skills.
15. Excellent presentation skills and the ability to present information in meetings at all levels.
16. Ability to work within a demanding, heavily regulated environment.
17. Strong manager who can remain calm under pressure with a positive and committed "can-do" attitude.
18. Energetic and decisive with drive and determination.
