The Role - Sports Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Sports Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH secondary school in Bromley. In this role, you will use sport and physical activity to engage students aged 11-16 who face barriers to learning due to emotional and behavioural needs.
You will support PE lessons, lead small group sports sessions, and use movement-based activities to help students regulate their emotions, build confidence, and develop teamwork skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in sports coaching, youth work, or education, and be confident in managing challenging behaviour in a calm and supportive manner.
Your energy, empathy, and ability to build strong relationships will be key in helping students thrive both physically and emotionally.
