Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Site Mechanical Supervisor located in Service Centre in Hemel, covering sites across the UK and occasionally Europe.
Reporting to the Site Services Support Manager, the Site Mechanical Supervisor role involves managing equipment dispatched to site and ensuring compliance with the company’s documented safe system of work.
What a typical day looks like:
1. Complete necessary certificates for client handover and produce progress reports on project status as required.
2. Efficiently supervise and direct employees and contractors to maximize company profits while maintaining quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
3. Promote risk management practices, targeting ‘zero harm’ by identifying and controlling hazards to prevent work-related illness and eliminate unsafe acts and conditions.
4. Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) matters, conducting weekly toolbox talks and task briefings as required.
5. Carry out and record site risk assessments, ensuring that method statements are communicated, understood, and followed.
6. Verify the competency of personnel, supervise Permit to Work systems, and ensure equipment and PPE are used correctly and safely.
7. Monitor site activities, intervene when problems are identified, and lead by example to promote safety and welfare on site.
8. Report near misses and accidents to the company Project Manager and liaise with clients as necessary.

10. Ability to work accurately under deadlines in a busy and pressurized environment, demonstrating flexibility.
11. Essential experience in mechanical installation of switchgear and in a supervisory role.
12. Preferred qualifications:Current SSSTS Certificate.UKATA Asbestos Awareness Certificate.Valid Manual Handling Awareness Certificate.Current and relevant ESC Card.
