The Role
The Defence Intelligence Organisation seeks a highly motivated, success-driven individual to join the Special Projects team as the Assistant Director [EL1] Special Projects - Logistics. The position works directly with the Director of Special Projects (based in Canberra) and is responsible for managing a DIO facility supporting the Special Projects program and maintaining key relationships in SA.
The candidate will plan, lead, manage, and report on facility, security, logistics, and resource management responsibilities to meet program outcomes, ensuring compliance with Department of Defence and South Australian legislation. The facility includes industrial capabilities requiring safe and effective management using on-site experts, advanced technologies, and industry best practices.
The role involves managing human and physical resources, providing administrative, business, and project support, and collaborating with other units to ensure safe and secure support for the program.
About our Team
The Special Projects directorate is part of the Defence Intelligence Organisation’s Weapons and Technical Intelligence Branch, delivering technical intelligence assessments on threat weapons and military systems. It coordinates impactful technical intelligence projects with a multidisciplinary team of APS and ADF members, supporting safe planning, delivery, and enablers.
