RG Consultancy are working with an excellent company based in Buxton, High Peak who are looking for a Accounts Assistant to join the team on a part-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working alongside the finance team to support the daily financial functions.
Job Purpose:
The Accounts Assistant will provide key support to the finance team, this role focuses on processing accounts receivable activities such as invoicing, credit control, reconciling customer accounts and helping with month-end tasks. The role also includes general finance administration and providing support to the wider team when needed, including helping with accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
Key responsibilities:
* Accounts receivable - credit control, raising sales invoices, statement posting and handling customer queries
* Accounts Payable - Processing supplier invoices, responsible for posting company card receipts and transactions
* Managing monthly commission processing
* Bank reconciliation
* Supporting VAT & Compliance - Supporting internal and external audit tasks.
* Support month End close activities - Preparing and post month end journals, ensuring all stock invoices and month cut off are completed, month end reporting.
* Perform ad hoc finance duties, including filing and administrative tasks
This part time role is for approx 30 hours, worked over 4 or 5 days per week and can be flexible could accommodate school hours
