Programme Manager
The RPS Water Consulting Team is looking for a Programme Manager to join the Programme Team(with Hybrid / Work from home options available)
This role will see you supporting our clients in delivering programmes of work across a variety of Water and Wastewater design and delivery programmes. You will be required to direct and coordinate large programmes of work, providing strong overarching governance across the programme.
The role requires a strategic overview of the program throughout its full life cycle, working with the Project Managers and other stakeholders to drive smooth and efficient running of the projects. The programme manager is required to receive, distil and relay key program risks and issues to the client for escalation while ensuring and maintaining consistency and best practice across workstreams.
About The Team:
RPS Water Consulting is a team of Engineers, Modellers and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development, to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery. This is an evolving industry, providing challenges and opportunities which require innovation, dedication and team work to help us meet our clients’ needs.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Managing the Programme Team that are responsible for planning and scheduling of work; implementing consistency across workstreams and driving programmes of work.
2. Client Communication- maintaining strong and collaborative working relationships and interactions with all clients, internal and external.
3. Prepare reports and deliverables; continually reviewing deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions for an internal and client audience.
4. Program monitoring and planning, preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring project tasks and advise regularly on project status.
5. Ensure quality of outputs and compliance with standards, specifications, and governance requirements
6. Involvement in working alongside team members to enhance innovation across the team and enhancing reporting based on project data
About You:
7. We are seeking someone with extensive experience and professional competence in planning and managing a programme team and delivering programmes of work with a utility service industry or similar.
8. You can demonstrate success in an often, unpredictable operational environment working with multiple different teams across the business.
9. Managing multiple tasks, the ability to prioritise and absolute delivery will be part of your key skillset.
10. You can support project teams with reviewing and resolving resource conflicts, project issues, demonstrate programme performance and can tailor reporting according to project and client needs.
11. It is also imperative that you have outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence client and business strategy.
12. You will need to be competent in planning tools, such as Primavera P6 and other MS office suite/work management systems and applications.
