Job Duties:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons to Year 2 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) - Adapt teaching methods to cater to the individual needs of SEN children - Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment - Collaborate with SENCO and other professionals to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) - Monitor and assess student progress regularly - Communicate effectively with parents/carers and external agencies - Manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status - Previous experience teaching SEN children - Enhanced DBS clearance
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably with SEN children
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and best practises - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a team - Proficient in using technology to support learning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) qualification
Working Conditions:
