Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist, Echo

We are recruiting for a Chief Cardiac Physiologist for Echocardiography at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust to provide outstanding care and exemplary service.
Key responsibilities include:
* Be a competent practitioner in echocardiography procedures.
* Possess advanced knowledge of products and procedures.
* Perform routine and complex diagnostic echocardiography autonomously.
* Supervise and train other cardiac physiologists.
* Participate on a roster basis as required.
* Monitor and maintain the quality of services within echocardiography.
* Develop highly technical specialist skills in complex echo service.
* Participate in the day‑to‑day running of the department, ensuring smooth operations.
* Triage and assess referred patients.
* Monitor referral appropriateness, interpret findings, and ensure appropriate discharge or ongoing care.
* Encourage and support staff to obtain BSE accreditation.
* Provide teaching and support to all department members and medical staff learning technical cardiology.
* Actively encourage and develop a multidisciplinary approach to cardiac care.
* Maintain full national accreditation and undertake further training as required for professional development and service provision.
Key qualifications and competencies:
* BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent).
* Full BSE accreditation in Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
* Enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated to join our team.
* Immunisation and vaccination report from UK occupational health provider or GP.
