Responsibilities For The Role Of Senior Drainage Engineer Include
* Working on projects across the residential, commercial, and retail sectors
* Contributing to renewable energy projects for public and private sector clientele
* Completing Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) for Flood Zones 1, 2, and 3
* Producing Surface Water Management Plans, as well as Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies
* Preparing Drainage Impact Assessments
* Designing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) for a range of residential developments and other projects
* Using software packages, such as MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, and Causeway PDS
* Mentor and manage colleagues across a range of projects, overseeing all aspects from initial inception through to successful delivery
* Proactively contribute to business development, liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Drainage Engineer include:
* A Bachelors or Masters Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or Hydrology (or similar, relevant discipline)
* Demonstrable experience of working in a design role, within a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority setting
* Extensive experience of completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Drainage Strategies, and Drainage Design
* Highly proficient in the use of software packages, such as MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, etc.
* Experience of leading projects or people
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
* Good literacy and numeracy skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Drainage Engineer include:
* Possess Chartered Status, or actively working to attain this
* Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
* Good time management and organisational skills
