Management Accountant Wakefield £ 50,000 – £55,000 We are exclusively partnered with an established construction business in Wakefield as they look to appoint a Management Accountant. This position will suit a proactive accountant who enjoys taking ownership of the numbers, challenging existing processes, and working closely with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement across the finance function. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to come in and act as a strong number two to the Financial Controller Key Responsibilities Full responsibility for month-end management accounts preparation, including commentary Production and review of balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring strong financial controls Lead on budgeting and forecasting, working closely with operational teams Ownership of cash flow forecasting Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiencies across finance Provide insightful analysis, challenge assumptions, and make commercially focused recommendations About You Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Strong background in management accounting within a fast-paced environment Confident in challenging the status quo and offering constructive solutions Detail-driven, commercially aware, and keen to make a tangible impact
