Lead Mechanical Design Engineer – RSE
RSE invites a permanent Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to champion projects across England, driving low‑carbon design solutions and ensuring strict compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Consult with clients to understand specific intervention requirements.
* Plan and implement projects in collaboration with Delivery Management teams.
* Provide technical guidance on mechanical matters to project teams and senior management.
* Lead the development of mechanical design deliverables.
* Mentor emerging engineering talent and contribute to the next generation of EICA Engineering professionals.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
* Mechanical design engineering experience within the municipal water/wastewater sector.
* Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Design management/lead experience.
* Programme and financial management experience.
* Experience across all design stages, from optioneering/FEED to construction support and as‑built.
* Experience in plant commissioning and/or plant operation preferable.
* Chartered engineer status with a relevant professional body preferable.
* Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
* Full UK driving licence.
