Job Description
The engineering geologist will work on a variety of unique projects across the country. It is important to be proactive and independent, while also being a strong team player. Good management skills and industry experience are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will join an experienced GI Operations team in Coventry, delivering ground investigation and geotechnical services across the UK in sectors including infrastructure, nuclear, energy, and environment.
* Be confident and knowledgeable in ground investigation techniques.
* Prepare Health & Safety documentation for site works and assist in managing safety on-site.
* Plan, supervise, and program Ground Investigation projects nationwide.
* Log Soil and Rock in accordance with BS5930:2015+A1:2020 standards.
* Maintain accurate field records.
* Support site supervision, managing activities and staff for various projects.
* Perform in-situ testing and sampling per standards.
* Liaise with clients, engineers, and contractors during site works.
* Manage and compile site data using company software.
* Assist in preparing monthly financial project reports.
* Write factual reports.
* Work in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain the physical fitness required for site tasks on diverse sites, including active construction zones and linear projects.
