What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential
• Proven track record of outstanding Physical Education teaching or evidence of outstanding practice during training (trainees would need evidence of potential to develop into a strong teacher)
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum requirements in Physical Education
• Experience of teaching Physical Education at Key Stages 3 and 4
• Proven track record of outstanding outcomes (trainees would need evidence of potential to develop into a strong teacher)
• Proven track record of strong and effective behaviour management strategies
• Excellent ICT skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and relate well to all stakeholders
• Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities
• Ability to work as part of a team
Desirable
• Willingness to support with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
• Experience of teaching Physical Education at GCSE and/or BTEC Level 2
• Experience of teaching Physical Education at A Level and/or BTEC Level 3

Further details about the role
We are primarily looking for an applicant who can teach Girls’ CORE PE, but the timetable may also include mixed examination groups.
A willingness to contribute to the sporting clubs offer as well as helping with fixtures is essential, and a willingness to support with our Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is desirable.
We welcome applications from ECTs and we run a highly supportive and successful induction programme that meet the full requirements of the Early Career Framework.
