* Lead on the submission and preparation of new plannings applications, directly or via external consultants
* Work on reserve matters and largely change of use applications whilst running appeals
* You will instruct, manage and monitor external consultants.
* Work collaboratively with internal and external teams and advise on planning options and strategic feasibility.
Whats needed to apply for the planning manager role:
* Ideally you will be a member of RPTI or hold a relevant town and planning degree
* Strong Planning knowledge is required and well versed in the system as well as local authority policies.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Established connections and contacts within the local network.
* You will have the capability to challenge planning views and decisions.
* A natural problem solver who is able to prioritise and multitask, whilst adding value to the immediate and wider teams.
