GCIL.JM/IW/4.26 JM is a friendly and happy 12-year-old boy with a beautiful smile that lights up his face! He enjoys being active and going outdoors on walks, swimming, playing in parks and travelling on buses. When he’s indoors JM likes colouring in, listening to music and playing games on his Xbox or tablet. Together you could be going on bus rides and visiting the bus station, going to the swimming pool or playing at The Yard Adventure Playground, one of JM’s favourite places. You could even be trying something new like a climbing centre as JM is physically very capable and at the playground he loves to climb to the top of the climbing frame. This role involves helping JM with his routine, prompting him to use the toilet and eat, giving him informed choices. JM would benefit from a PA who is comfortable using signs and symbols to help him prepare for transitions. JM needs someone who is fit, fun loving and has the energy to keep him safe while doing the activities he enjoys. JM works best with adults who take the time to get to know him and someone who is friendly, kind and patient would be the ideal match. The role will be 10 hours per week, shift days and times are negotiable and can be discussed at interview. Some weekends, bank and school holidays will be required. The hourly rate is £13.45, and the role is based in the East End of Glasgow (G33), travel by bus with JM to other areas of Glasgow for activities will be required.
