Job Details
We have a role for a Senior Dispenser in our Prescription Processing & Admin Team, based at either our Northampton Site or our South Normanton Site. This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
Job Purpose:
* To work as part of an enthusiastic and highly motivated Homecare Pharmacy team, delivering an organised, efficient, and accurate dispensing service that exceeds customer expectations through dedication to patient care.
* To collaborate with the Prescription Management Team and assist in managing and organising all teams within the Prescription Processing and Admin department.
* Be a key contact for the Prescription Processing and Administration Team, ensuring smooth operations, effective communication internally and externally, and safe implementation of new services, including training team members in key competencies.
* To deputise for the Prescription Processing and Admin Team Manager as required and assist in line management of nominated individuals.
* Adhere to SOPs, raise non-conformances as needed, and ensure compliance with Healthconnect, Prescription Management Procedures, Pharmacy SOPs, GDP, and Health & Safety standards.
Key Accountabilities:
* Coordinate and organise workflow within the Dispensary and Prescription Processing teams, focusing on Prescription Processing and Administration processes.
* Review SOPs and training documents regularly to ensure adherence and accuracy, especially those related to Prescription Processing and Administration.
* Manage query resolution for prescription issues, communicating professionally with patients, customers, and colleagues.
* Conduct training for Prescription Processing and Admin Team members as needed.
* Support management in KPI reporting, performance management, and HR issues for the teams.
* Provide briefings to management teams and feedback on day-to-day performance issues.
* Lead or participate in implementing new contracts and projects under management guidance.
* Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
* Assist in coaching and training on procedures, ensuring training plans are up-to-date.
* Ensure site security and follow established procedures.
* Participate in implementation and commercial operations calls for upcoming changes.
* Perform any ad-hoc duties related to Prescription Processing/Administration.

* NVQ Level 2/3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* High accuracy levels
* Experience working towards KPIs and targets

* Proficiency in computer literacy
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
* Good customer service skills
* Proven work performance record
* Willingness to undertake further training
Desirable
* Experience leading a team
* Experience in various pharmacy settings
