SEN Teaching Assistant - Walthamstow
Empowering Learning are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in a range of specialist schools and provisions in Walthamstow.
This role offers flexible working opportunities, with candidates able to work full-time or part-time, with a minimum commitment of 3 days per week.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students across a variety of educational settings, working closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom. You will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop independence, and build confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with special educational needs
Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider support staff
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environmentTypes of SEND You May Support

From EYFS to Post 18 Education.
Requirements
A passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs
The ability to work with students with a wide range of needs and abilities
A patient, resilient and positive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
