Overview
Distinct is partnering with a high-growth, fast-moving business to appoint an Interim Group Financial Controller. This is a hands‑on leadership role with real ownership from day one—perfect for someone who can steady the ship and sharpen control.
Responsibilities
* Group financial control and reporting: deliver accurate, timely numbers and tighten balance sheet integrity
* Team leadership: set the pace, coach day-to-day, and be the reliable senior presence the team can lean on
* Process improvement
* Work closely with AP, Management Accounts, Treasury, and Finance Assistants to keep things running smoothly
Qualifications
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with background ideally working in complex environments; PE-backed would be preferred
* Genuinely hands‑on—comfortable operating at detail level while leading from the front
* Proven team manager with a calm, practical style in fast‑paced, changing environments
* Strong process mindset—able to quickly grasp how things work and add value without complex structure
